MARS has published a brand new Exam Technique guide which may be of use to anyone taking an RSGB exam, be it Foundation, Intermediate or Advanced. It suggests an exam strategy that can help you avoid common mistakes made by candidates and help you score a few more marks in your exam.

June 2023 marks the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Midland Amateur Radio Society.
MARS was formed in 1931 by a group of Birmingham based amateurs and is still very active to this day. It seems only right to celebrate this significant milestone in a way that only amateurs can!

We have been given notice by the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) that our previous website hosting is to be discontinued. Therefore, a new website has been constructed to serve the needs of the Midland Amateur Radio Society in the coming years.
The new site is hosted using an open source content management system (CMS) and can be updated by several people at once. This also allows much greater flexibility than that offered to us by the RSGB facility and we hope that we can build a site that will evolve into a useful resource for both newcomers to radio and seasoned amateurs alike.
